My Wrongful Leader

by Bridgette   Jun 24, 2006

Failing to see the flashing signs
I was led down the wrong path
You were my wrongful leader
And showed me nothing but wrath

I followed like a mindless sheep
And watched you as I continuously fell
I never could quite understand
Why you didn't answer my cries for help

You killed all of my emotions
And I did nothing but stare
I tried to smile and be alright
I only wanted you to care

I begged and pleaded you to stop
But you turned to me a deaf ear
I always gave you my very best
But I only did it out of fear

Soon you got tired of me
And you pushed me to the side
I was so weak without you there
But you never did dry the tears I'd cry

You found yourself another victim
And washed away all memories of me
I'll never forgive myself this time
For the flashing signs I didn't see

I understand what your poem's about, I know the feeling, you described it perfectly, specially in the end.

I'll never forgive myself this time
For the flashing signs I didn't see

    Good job!
