Last Goodbye

by Bridgette   Jul 6, 2006

I stifle back unwanted tears
As my friend tells me the news
She doesn't know I still love you
Or that I still want to be with you

So I heard about you and 'her'
And just said I didn't care
But it really killed me inside
This pain I couldn't bare

Remember that you had told me
You wanted us to be friends
But I don't think I can do it
So maybe this is the end

I never thought we'd be here
Hating each other like this
But sure enough we are
And it all started with one kiss

Don't say that this hurts you
Because, trust me, I hurt more
But I really don't think you care
After my heart you so carelessly tore

And when all is said and done
You are nothing but a lie
I'm so tired of waiting on you
So this is our last and final goodbye
