Daddy You're...Dead?

by WordsHurt   Aug 10, 2006

An arrow shot through me
Tearing my heart apart
Pain stirked me
Breathing is becoming hard

You body lies there lifeless
In a puddle of crimson blood
Face all blue, Hands ice cold
Eyes wide open, staring at me

There's distant screaming
But i can't hear it
Someones talking to me
But i can't hear them

I walk up to your body
Which is covered in white cloth
Big red stains are on it
People standing there are crying

What's happening?
I see your lips move
You're calling me
Running to you with a smile

But they won't let me
"I need to see daddy,
Look he's saying my name"
Whats there problem?

"He no longer lives child"
Tears are coming out of nowhere
"Let me go" I scream
Suddenly I am free

Like a wild animal
I run to you
Taking your hands in mine
Your eyes still closed

"I asked God to let
Me see you one last time"
Your lips are moving slowly
Your voice is weak

A single tear escapes
You smile weakly
"I want you to know
You are my princess
I will love you..even after
I am dead"

Wow, this poem is really great. Though it made me cry, it was still really really good. I hope that you didn't loose you're father this way because that would be really bad. But this poem is written amazingly. Keep up the great work. 5/5
