The Prayer Of A Saint

by Choose xX Alex Xx Life   Aug 12, 2006

Dear lord......

Whoever you are, for what ever reason.
This prayer from a saint, is to find some meaning.

Why should children, be hurt and abused?
Why are we the people, free to be used?

Where is the wisdom, our will to live?
Why have we become all take and no give?

Why are terrorists, free to kill youth?
Bring us some meaning lord, bring us some truth.

Where is the peace? where is the love?
Help us be free oh lord from above.

Shine the sun strong, guide our way,
And we the people shall continue to pray.

Give the weak strength, and rid strength of strong,
Because lord this world is horribly wrong.

Were fighting for power, but we remain weak,
We need some wisdom, guidance we seek.

So this is the prayer, the prayer of a saint,
What lies in store for this evil race.

AMEN XXXX

Evil race????.... And....'made in His image'......Honey...you really had me heading for an Amen! up until that last line......The forces of evil are not equivalent to the divine force in every human being.....I beg you to reconsider this particular line of thinking.......What is going here on is a Monumental Struggle for the Souls of Beings of Free Will.....so....we have to choose....and then....strive mightily, for the rest of our lives, to meet the requirements of that choice....Your poem inspired this full blown response...that says something, too......

P.S Two of the poems you asked me to vote and comment on I have already done in the past, so I'm going to go choose another two.
