I Felt Nothing

I made myself cry today
Just to make sure I could feel
But there was no great release
Or anything to make this real

I felt no heavy burden lifted
Just the usual constant pain
I didn't feel anything, really
It all just felt the same

There's still these emotions
That are buried deep inside
And none were let out
Not even when I cried

With every fallen tear
A different story was told
But each held the same meaning,
I am nothing but alone
