A Never-Lasting Love

by Bridgette   Oct 2, 2006

Desolate hearts intertwined as one
Crushed by the infidelity of another
Broken roads that don't lead home
Walking these dampened streets alone

Sunny skies are a thing of the past
Days are now haunted by blackened clouds
Torrents of tears rain from bloodshot eyes
As one love is replaced by another

Memories of love burning up into flames
Each ash representing a broken promise
Every flame killing any ounce of hope
Until there is nothing or no one left

Sorry, it like cut of my post thingy. Whoops anyway! Well, as I was saying I loved the first stanza, especially the first line. You have amazing talent as a writer. Great flow, wording, great everything. Keep it up! 5/5
