Law of Karma

by ShootingStar179   Nov 11, 2006

So do you realize that you treat me like a child?
You expect me to react as an adult and I cannot revolt,
My conscience is the reason I am not totally wild,
I can not keep my heart inside while you make my heart defiled

You are hurting me as I grow closer to another,
You refuse to let me be me and be free,
Yet you say "I am so much better than all the others."
You lie to yourself and rebuff your selfish ways.

Do you understand how you make me feel?
I become angry and have tears for you to blame,
My feelings become empty, my heart concealed.
You will never know,
The truth will never be revealed.

But alas if I were to show you this today,
You would take it as a joke and throw it gently away,
You do not care for my happiness or love at all,
You seek power in all my life and you are quite likely to fall.

The law of karma in the world is true,
What goes up surely will fall,
And that flying lie is you.

Poem is definatly truthful when it comes down to it. i really enjoy how you captivate the reader by sort of telling a story while still sticking to the rules of poetry, excellent read! 5/5

Ouch.. harsh poem.. but definilty your best becuase the emotion is there and its strong.. the flow is good as well as the rhyme.. the last stanza is weird because its not the same length as the others but its a great ending.. nice job with this one

This poem reflects very eloquently a specific example of the law of karma
