Thoughts Of a Broken Mind

by GretaInsideOut   Dec 10, 2006

Can the pain you cause
Ever live up to what you are?
I needed something there
Something to grasp
For everything i once knew
Slipped between my fingers.

The security that once engulfed me
Dropped like a heavy mind,
I found the darkness cold,
Yet welcoming for shame.

You wouldn't ever know
How much we both changed
Did we mould into people we hate?

What ever happened to the time when nothing mattered
When everything was beautiful
How did that dream die away so slow?
Everything turned black
Blurred out of control.

This life is one I'll never want
I'd never wish to keep
Its so tainted and so grey
Even you who was the light
Hasn't failed to disappoint.

Another sleepless night
Another weary day
My tired head aches with the thoughts
Thoughts of a thousand memories
That have been caught amongst it all
Buried beneath the lies.
