Daddy Don't

by *Charisma*   Dec 16, 2006

Daddy, don't tell me you only want to die
The pain is too much to take in this life.
Daddy, don't say you want to give up
As soon as were grown, that's not long enough.
Daddy, quit talking about the relief it would be
If tomorrow you were never to be.
Daddy, stop crying. I can't take it anymore
To see you hurt inside, like never before.
Daddy, these words are breaking my soul.
Outside I'm a woman, inside just your girl.
Daddy, I'm innocent, and hurt by your pain.
I'd do anything to make it go away.
Daddy, please know no matter what you go through,
I'll be here to help, and I'll always love you.

This is a sad one for me to read. I see so many elderly patients who are ready to give up, but their families aren't willing to let them go. Don't know if that is what you were writing about, but I can relate. Good job. 5/5

Oh my god.. you made me ruin my eye make-up for work!!
This poem was just so sad, it almost sounded like a child pleading..
    Such depth in the words...
