Llife in an Insane World

He'll say, 'How are you today?', in that soft calming voice
He'll ask 'Fancy a chat?' s'not like he gave me a choice
And I'll just rock back and forth, staring back into space
'I dream of riding demons, whilst angels give chase'

That's what he wants me to say, that's what he wants me to think
So I'll just keep talking crazy, until he runs out of ink
He'll say 'That's it for the day', throw another pill my way
Put me back in my jacket and then just lock me away

He'll send me back to my cell, with my four padded walls
Where when the night comes, I hear screams in the halls
I'm not crazy you know, I swear, I'm telling the truth
But I've been locked up with these psychos since I was a youth

But now I've thought of a plan, a way to escape this place
I'm going to leave tonight, somewhere where they can't give chase
Tonight, when they're all asleep, I'm going to lie in my bed
Take the pills I've not been taking, and dine with death instead
