Have you watched the news lately
Well it's full of stuff
Bombings, murders, and insanity
I think I've had enough

It's quite depressing
Why can't we get along
But to me I'm kept guessing
Why is the world so far gone?

I've come to believe there is no hope
We may never see a day without these problems
It is getting harder to cope
Why can't everyone get along?

It makes me sick to see the world today
No arguing, no fighting, no more hatred
Somehow, I wish, that there was another way

    The world has gone to hell in a hand basket.

    This was a good poem.

    I did like the overall meaning of this poem which you portrayed although my intention just wasn't fully grabbed not like your other poems it seemed to simple to explain the world and life which is complex. More details would make this better. ~mel

    You capture your theme with an unadorned, yet sound detail that makes it wholly pragmatic. It further seems to me to be an excitable rant of emotional steam, reminding me of a certain someone bewildered by the world's current situation. Severely captivating to say the least.
