Tired of wearing a mask.
Smiling all day without meaning it.
Hiding it like it means nothing.
Deep inside I just need someone who understands.

I dont want to pick myself up from the hole that I've dug myself into

She has become a creature of habit, getting her hopes up only to have them shatter

Want to know what hurts the most?
Having to pretend it doesnt hurt at all.

I'm strong on the surface, not all the way through.

I'd rather stay quiet than explain my problems to people who don't care.

I can't help but think I'm doing something wrong,
So I sit here in confusion trying to stay strong.
The thoughts cut deeply,
So does the knife,
Most of the time I want to end my life.
