everything's a whispered sound

She tells me how it goes;
like a scratched skipping song in her head
how she's feeling so wound up
how his scent still coats her bed

Life isn't like candy, it's not all that sweet.

I feel like I'm drowning in the ocean, in the middle of a storm. My air is running out ... and in the few seconds that I manage to pull my head out of the water ....there is no shore.

Scars may fade but the memories never go away.
