You are all to him (Kyrielle)

by Meena Krish   May 21, 2014

He's my young man my eldest boy
born with a tender heart of joy
God, make each of his moments beam
help him to reach up to his dreams,

Be his force of truth and his guide
let no harm creep up to his side
may your blessings in his life stream
help him to reach up to his dreams,

You're his father, mother and friend
a wealth of courage to him send
be the coach and mate in his team
help him to reach up to his dreams,

A Kyrielle is a French form of rhyming poetry
written in quatrains (a stanza consisting of 4 lines),
and each quatrain contains a repeating line or phrase
as a refrain (usually appearing as the last line of
each stanza). Each line within the poem consists of
only eight syllables. There is no limit to the amount
of stanzas a Kyrielle may have, but three is
considered the accepted minimum.

Some popular rhyming schemes for a Kyrielle are:
aabB, ccbB, ddbB, with B being the repeated line,
or abaB, cbcB, dbdB.

Meena, this kyrielle is filled with beautiful sentiments.

May your son, reach his dreams. Though I'm sure he will, with determination and hardwork but also with the support and the love you have for him as well as with faith.

I don't have any critiques. Every line has the 8 syllables but also the refrains sound smoothly. It sounds like a prayer.

Well done. I'm glad you are back to writing.
