Motherhood (live write excuse errors )

Oh my god how I was wrong
I thought you were a self obsessed fool
I'm not often wrong in my judgment
But in this case I'm a tool.

I'll admit that you are beautiful
I thought you loved yourself too much
The choice that you have made this day
Well! I guess that I am touched

You're gonna stick with this thing
I'm ashamed that I did doubt
I never gave you credit of strength
Now you've proved it without doubt

The world still lays at your feet
You can choose your career and path
Unfortunately life throws curve balls
That you cannot dodge or pass

Yeah you're young and life is in front
This may tie you down
The thing that you have chosen
Well! I bend my knee and bow

Sceptical of people, I've always been
This life has made me so
It's nice to know sometimes I get it wrong
Things can still make me smile and glow

This will not be an easy travelling
For all things can't be planned
But we will all be here for you
And in me you've made a friend.

For my kinda niece who will never read this

    Strong write Craig. It's never easy when you are presented with a surprise like this. Some people rise to the occasion, others sink.

      Yeah she's stronger than I thought especially when the farther of the child seems to be distancing himself.

      I so misjudged her, she now has my upmost respect.

      As for the poem itself I'm really not happy with a couple of verses but it was a live write so can't change it
