Missing you...

by Dreamofolwin   Sep 1, 2009

Whenever I am missing you...
When I'm feeling lonely, and I'm feeling blue.
I take a walk down memory lane,
To try and ease this lonely pain.

And when I do I see your face...
It sweetly smiles, my fears erase.
It calms my heart, a little while,
I feel once more, your little child.

Holding your hand, to guide me through.
Coz mum, there's no one else like you.
Can lift me up, when I am down,
Efface this solemn, heartfelt frown.

I love you mum, I always will,
As long as there are daffodills.
I can't forget you, coz there's no other,
Can take your place, or memory mother.

So everyday I'm feeling blue...
I walk this avenue with you,
I no longer have your hand in mine,
But you're in my heart for all of time.

    Found it, Olwin!

I am pleased I did, too. What a lovely tribute that I'm sure has been received with pride.

Exactly. Loved ones leave us, it's true. But what never, ever leaves is the affect they had upon us while they were here and the memories that are always ours. Those can never be taken away.
A wonderful write and your love for your mother shines bright throughout.

Take care, Olwin and all the best,
    Ben
