It's A Fine Line......

It's a fine line that I'm travelling today,
Lord help me make it through...
These tears that I shed as I drive along,
The road and cry to you.

I feel that I just can't take much more,
So many hurts inside...
But he keeps on hurting, til my heart just bleeds,
As his fills up with pride.

Demoralising everything I do...
Each breath, each step I take.
Trying to destroy everything I am,
Making me look like a fool for his sake.

Can't take much more, yes Im walking a fine line,
Won't he ever, release me?
Or am I to be forever in his grasp,
Till there's no more of me...

    Loved the emotion of the poem although it would be a smoother read and even better with some different punctuation, for example;

    It's a fine line that I'm travelling today,
    Lord help me make it through
    these tears that I shed as I drive along
    the road and cry to you.

    Minor stuff but it really helps the reader get the flow of the poem. Still a very good poem though.
