Destroyed Dreams (Tanka)

Destroyed Dreams

Lost ....shackled, alone.....
Will broken, pain calls it home.
Fate destroyed love's dream.
Haunted nightmares, stealing life.
Descending into darkness......

Tanka is a classic form of Japanese poetry related to the haiku with five unrhymed lines of five, seven, five, seven, and seven syllables. (5, 7, 5, 7, 7)

Very descriptive piece you have penned here. I especially liked your last line for it summed up all the feelings previously listed. Very well done.
