Forgotten Memories

by Lonely Rider   Mar 29, 2010

Whisper memories of fairy tales,
Jack and Jill with water pale,
Belle with Beast,Cinderellas's spell
Red Robin and the wishing well,

Wounded knees but joyful hearts,
crying aloud when friends part,
chocolate fudge and rainbow sky,
twinkling stars,Oh!! up so high.

Faded are the frocks with frill,
Where did I lose my daffodils?
Time, please stop for a while?
I just remembered how to smile.

Childhood passes us by so quickly. One day we turn around and it is gone. Thankfully we have all our treasured memories to help us smile again when things get hard.
    Excellent job!

You penned a unique and relatable piece for us to enjoy. Life does sometimes reach this point where we just wish it would slow down & we could re-experience those wonderful memories we have of the past. Nicely done,
