Have You Counted The Leaves...

by Dreamofolwin   Apr 2, 2010

Have you counted the leaves in the forest
or the waves in the deep blue sea.
Have you gazed at the stars up in heaven,
watched the sun rise for you and me.

Have you heard a new baby crying,
felt a child gently tug your hand...
Saw the wonderment shine in their eyes,
watch them run and play in the sand.

Have you soared as high as an eagle,
heard the buzz of a busy bee...
Have you ever sat and wondered,
why is it that God should love me.

His love is vast, it's immeasurable,
it is rich, it is boundless and free...
Like the waves of the deepest blue ocean
it is given to you and to me.

It is coincidental that me and my older brother just had a discussion about Love and how and why God loves us.

    very entertaining read.

Olwin, I wonder all the time about God loving me. At times I think we all forgot to stop and count the leaves and enjoy His creations. If we do take the time, then we don't have to wonder why He loves us. Well done.
