Oct 28th

It's been difficult
to be a rock and a wall.
this present bends into
a white handcuff
and it is in awe
that it looks back at me.

if i could recover
my nails or
the other versions of myself,
maybe i could identify
life by touch
but as i grow older
and less wise,
i can only feel
and that is the hardest part.
