Life In Still Motion

by CJ Maleney   Apr 11, 2017

To draw life in full colour upon parchment,
To see beauty in flat creation. Shades of reality, trapped, changed by countless hands of Man.

The beauty in art.

Colours bleeding into one and other, changing, becoming something else, evolving, conjured and twisted by the mind of the abstract.

The beauty in art

To see beautiful creatures recreated in perfect detail, mounted on the wall in place of the hunters trophy. A hunter with a brush and easel!

The beauty in art?

To feel sadness, for it will watch on with lifeless eyes. To know that no matter how beautiful, it cannot ever escape the two dimensions that confine it.

A two dimension art if I'm not mistaken is like a sketch or
painting but when looked at it closely another image emerges
such as of a person etc. So if that is the case then the title "Life
in still Motion" maybe within that drawing there is a lady's eyes
which is the one that's prominent been captured and depicted
"lifeless eyes"..maybe I'm wrong but it feels like that.
Sometimes the beauty of art captures the heart because if the
sadness life brings out...liked this read.

      Morning

      The title

Still Motion is a method of cinematic photography, where an object it moved a fraction at a time each time is moves it is photographed, when placed in sequence it gives the illusion of movement.

I used it in this instance to represent that the art once created is inanimate thus still, the motion comes into play via the actions of the artists hands.

The two dimensions that confine it are 1 the medium of its creation and 2 the limitations of the artists imagination.

Two things in this seem like errors but they are not, 1 is the tittle the second, is "two dimensions".

Most of you will figure it out though.
