Inner Conflict

Physics, math and chemistry
It's what my brain does say
My heart argues a different point
There's miles and miles of veins

Science or religion
you have to take a side
You cannot sit upon that fence
You must make up your mind

Despite my love of science
And of everything I've learned
I cannot swallow intellectual theory
Until the truth is truly learned

And I don't totally believe the bible
And I laugh at that big bang
I do think some things are true though
And I still believe there is a plan

Too many things to amaze us all
Did they happen just by chance
Or did they start with a thought and act
Of a one who thought I can
