Accolade (acrostic)

by CJ Maleney   Jun 13, 2019

Accreditation is not desired nor sought,
Creative images fade in whisps of memory.
Champions chosen by vicious souls.
Often unnoticed by the blind of mind.
lesser people rain down toxic opinions.
As the meek of being shake their heads.
Death of freedom ensues in fallout thoughts.
Everything in the name of recognition.

      Thank you.

give another one a go I remember reading one of yours. I'll have to flick back to find it though . all I'll say is think of your subject first. Pick a key word from said subject then play with it. Always works for me although I don't do it often. like my rhyme too much.

A well written piece. I like in particular the lines "Lesser people rain down toxic opinions as the meek of being shake their heads" It's a shame but in all aspects of life there will always be people with more or less skill than others and some who feel that if they cannot have the recognition that they feel that they deserve that they should ruin it for everyone else. A strong and thought provoking piece. Milly x

      Hey up Mills.

The two lines that you refer to can, I guess be switched around depending on how you gauge their meaning.

The lesser people line is not intended to depict lesser ability, quite the reverse, but lesser morality, tolerance and mindfulness.

The meek of being shake their heads not at their failings but due to the actions of others.

The poem is not about academic ability but about attitudes and snobbery.

both glad you like it and that you can't nominate it too. I like it as a stand alone piece. If that makes any sense.
