Swimming

by Mortal Utopia   Oct 21, 2019

Swim!
Just like how we used to.
Closed-eyed goggled dancer - swim,
on a stage wide open. And laugh
and grin, to swim
through bubbles
and breaths held and exhaled
until they sail like memories
deep
deep
down
into our breasts.

Will you remember our laughter?
Or the waves that passed through us
like a secret lover?
Or the contours of our limbs
when we let the sea take us,
wave by wave,
closer to the distance
now between us.
