napowrimo: a song not meant to be sung (day 11)

by prasanna   Apr 11, 2020

y/our laughter is a metronome
playing into the late hours of
night; we brazenly steal from
silence.

i know i'm your favourite
melody to hum when you
find yourself alone.

singing the words until
one day it’s a foreign
song to you;

you forgot all the
words.

    Whoa, that was one hell of an introduction - I forgot how good you are with those.

    "We brazenly steal from silence" - damn. I don't know how you make this writing thing look so easy.

A connection between your work.. it makes readers part of the writer's life and its very cozy and touching. An amazing poem... waiting for the nxt
