napowrimo: wildflowers & letters (day 28)

by prasanna   Apr 29, 2020

hand-picked wildflowers stamped into the letters
you’d rattle off, were easily one of my favourite
details about them, apart from the little sketches
you’d fill the empty space with. that's the other
thing, you had a way of spilling into every nook
and cranny of every room you’d enter, like you’d
exhale and find the entire room housing you,
long after you’d leave. you tasted like infinity.
your palms branching into slender fingers are
still the most fragile thing i've come to know –
from there, you exude gentleness, stitching art
into everything you do, softly folding your words
into poetry. you are a colour that shines only
in sunlight.

I need extended nomination buttons. Allow me to say this is at another level, some of the best lines I've seen by you. You took my breath away with this piece. From the very 1st letter image to the room housing the character... to your last line. I am breathless. Come on...I need to stick this to the front page in a way! to my absolute favoritesss

A beautiful sentiment, such care and tenderness placed into every word.

    "you tasted like infinity. "
^^This line hit me like a shot of energy. Just wow.

    A wonderful piece indeed!
