Wild Carousel

by Gracy Judith   Jun 21, 2020

I surrender myself
to the ethereal dance and sway
of spinning dreams—
A burst of imagery
paints my mind.
a wild carousel of
nowhere spins everywhere
all in a breath
freefalling into unknown depths
where sanity and chaos kiss,
with no smudge of reality
with no notion
of the morning sun
grazing at my skin

Love this, gave me a thrilling feeling. Like the one you get in a roller coaster, the strong adrenaline rush and excitement that makes me forget whats happening in the world while it lasts.
I also imagined that this like waking up after a bad dream.

I’m really enjoying your writes, welcome!!!

Your poetry is a breath of fresh air on this site! Welcome and hope to read many more pieces from you. I love the dreamy way this reads, and also the way we can easily become lost among different realities. It can mean we are distancing ourselves from knowing the "here and now", like dissociating, but perhaps it can also free us and give us that chance to indulge in the imagination and unfiltered parts of our mind.

my favorite lines: "this signing in into inverse madness"
    - It made me think how "madness" is portrayed, quiet negatively, yet it can inspire and birth a new creativity and wonder in us.

    Lovely!
