Unfettered rain

by Gracy Judith   Jun 24, 2020

what would betide the night
of my lambent dreams
until dawn?
sleepless, I listen
to the hum of rain
cutting through zephyrs
unfettered
nocturnal
silken cadence
crystalline cascade
bending silence
rinsing thoughts
tugging me
ever so softly
into its rhythmic chant...
its sublime tilt
shaping the night
crescent

Your language choice is consistently commendable, paying attention to form and word placement too. I love this, especially as it contains one of my favourite words 'lambent'.

    Keep sharing! :)
