A mother's love

by Em   Jun 19, 2021

Fruity taste on my lips,
I've missed you
but not as much as
my children.

I'll fight alcoholism
and bastards
for aslong as it takes
until I get them back
under my wing

and they'll know
I'm remorseful,
they already do -
but I hope that
they know I love them
with my everything and
I used all my powers,
all my fight

to have them back
where they belong -

cucooned
in their mums arms.

I'll hear your laughter once more,
I promise you with my life.

There are many reasons why we believe that "heaven is beneath your mother's feet". This is just one of them :)

Each time I read a new poem by you, my heart pings. Such beauty and grace- Raw insight to your precious heart and your strength to rise above the darkness. I love you!
