Nothing Left to Save

I live each day just because
The next ones going to come,
My heart still beats now even
Though its long gone cold and numb.

I hear these voices in my head,
They never let me sleep.
These secrets buried in my soul
Are ones that I must keep.

Alone I sit and let the darkness
Flow down through my veins,
The firey tip of Satan's blade
Will free me from these chains.

The edge is near as I look down
And see the depth I crave.
This soul is lost, this body's dead,
There's nothing left to save.

    I have felt like this for a very long time in my life and i'm glad those thoughts are behind me now, but still it made me remember my past for a sec.

    I really like the darkness and sadness here, great written poem.

    Wow this was a truly excellent poem. I really liked the way it wasnt too long but not to short either. Also the rhyming flowed really well! I give you a definate five!
