Was so young

My Daddy is a cop
He hides his gun under the bed
But one time he left it on top
For he didn't know the carpet would be covered with red

A friend came over that day
When we went to play, I noticed the gun
We only wanted to play cops and robbers I say!
I guess I thought it would be fun

I pointed it to my face and... I got shot
I fell to the floor with a thud
I thought I put it on safety, but I did not
I laid in my own puddle of blood

Mommy screamed out what happened to my son
Everyone yelled with much disdain
Daddy dialed 911
I felt no pain

As I floated to the heavens
An angel reached out her hand
I screamed out, I am only seven!
I went with her and she brought me to a new land

Daddy has much guilt
Mommy is so sad
They both lost the family they built
I am so sorry so please don't be mad!
