Becoming a ghost

by Erika   Mar 22, 2005

Wondering what is worth to live such a lie.
I can no longer make it work, tonight I say goodbye.

I open my eyes, and in the mirror my reflection is gone.
Fading away, if I die today will I be missed?
Will my laughter be heard through the sky like a ghost?
Or will it disappear with the whisper of the wind?

Will my eyes be seen in the beauty of the world?
Or people is just to blind to see I am gone?
Like a tree in a forest, a cloud in the sky
If tomorrow I´m not here, no one would mind.

The red of my lips turns into white
The warmth of my body escapes with the night
One by one my hair starts to fall
And my eyes slowly begin to close.

The footprints I left are covered with dust
The love I once gave is already lost.
Death came too soon to take me away
Too young and too old, I must complain

Once a long time ago a star was born.
Today that star is waiting to glow
But already part of it is gone.
Death has come and make it all wrong.

A girl dies today a girl I never knew
A girl fades away , What am I to do?
