Crashing By

by Tara   May 16, 2005

Countless waves crashing to shore,
Dark horizon looks for more.
Endless skies and stars shine bright-
Fades to darkness, sans a fight.
Never ending, nevermore
I stare at both, like before.

Blackened skies top the dark sea -
Emptiness empowers me.
Neither sea nor sky's alone,
Vanishing to points unknown.
Dark and deep as I may be,
Not the skies, can't be the sea.

No lights to shine paths ahead,
Nor never ending ocean bed.
Just me alone, solitaire,
Darkness drowning everywhere -
To the ocean and the sky
As waves and life crash on by.

Ok, this was by far my favorite I have read by you so far. You have no idea how much I loved this but i'm going to try and show you. Each line was s powerful, from the very first line you had me gripped with your vivid word choice. The sadness and misery you portrayed were just some of the most beautifully sad emotions which you added nicely into this piece. To me it seemed so heartfelt and so capturing. I loved this alot and i'm glad I read it. Well done. Keep on writing. ~Mel
