Surrounded by darkness,
There's no sign of light
I look to the sky...
to see that nothing is right

This can't be my life
I wish it all away
I dream of happiness
yet I see another day

I've failed those I love
With selfish mistakes
Self-loathing continues
As my heart only aches

As I look in the mirror,
I shudder at my reflection
I'm the mistake of your world
I define imperfection

Force another smile,
Pretend that I'm okay
Looking back on my past,
My hope begins to sway

My weakness is obvious
Though I refuse to give in
I continue this battle
