Life's issues (Cinq-Cinquain)

by Steven Beesley   Nov 26, 2005

Life's issues:

Life is?
Life is so short!
Make the most use of it,
enjoy it and have no regrets.
Waste not.

Learning?
Learning through life!
A task that continues,
throughout your entire lifetime.
Absorb.

Work is?
Work is needed!
To sustain livelihood,
for your life and your family.
Involve.

Love is?
Love is precious!
It is part of your life,
it is what fills your heart and soul.
Treasure.

Beauty?
Beauty won't last!
It is only skin deep,
what is deep inside is what counts.
Truly.

    Steven,

As always, you have managed to create an excellent poem with a deep message within a rigid structure. Well done indeed! The use of punctuation is very efficient in pointing out certain themes and ideas. Again, well done on an excellent piece of writing!

You have a simple style which illustrates your points nicely, I liked the last lines in each of these stanzas, summing the stanzas most important message.
