Behind The Mask

by Princess Love   Feb 7, 2006

There she goes,
The happily ever after girl
The one you seem to think
Is the happiest in the world
You think she is so naive
Doesn't know the real world
Believe me when I tell you
She has seen through it all

She saw the hidden colors
In everyone's eyes
She heard of the blue
But seen grey skies
She saw betrayals and heartbreaks
And learned that one moment is all it takes
To turn someone's world in to a paradise
Then simply break it in pieces
With deception and lies

What ever happened to love
What ever happened to kindness
Now all she sees around her
Are misery pain and loneliness
Once there were petals in every path she took
Now all she sees are thorns every where she looks

Still she makes you laugh, she makes you smile
She makes you think her life is worthwhile
She's the happy charm everyone wants to be around
But no one sees her lonely nights
And the tears of a clown

She is the friend you always need
Every time you cry
She is the one who stands by you
And say things will be alright
Everyone comes to her when they have pain
But who would she turn to when she wants to rain

If you have the eyes to search
Search the depth within her heart
Only then you will realize
All the pains are hidden in her eyes
Maybe then you will stop to ask
Who is the real girl behind the mask?
