I Forgive The Past

Once I saw the devil in your eyes
So scared of your hurting fists
I won't forget what in me lies
The reason why I cut my wrists

You left me a big hole inside
By telling all those hurting words
But all the pain I tried to hide
Stays within me, never to be heard

I can't believe what we went through
All those long teenage years
My dreams were destroyed by you
Cause by all my endless fears

I am willing to forgive the past
But those words I'll never forget
I will always love you dad
And I know that now you regret

So now I am your princess again
And that's the way is should be
We made it through in the end
And my heart is healing within me

    Wow can definately relate..although it seems like im the yyounger version of u and am still in these long teenage years, i feel like it will never end. I'd love to hear from u and how u forgave/moved on from it all..because i feel like i cant take anymore.
    Brilliant poem, really expressed the love and also hurt you've been through.
