Illusions Are Deceiving

by Torn   Mar 19, 2006

He wakes up in the morning,
With nothing but feeling dread.
A whole day is to be lived,
With thoughts playing in his head.

He wonders how he can get away,
So far from it all.
When pain does not exist,
Where you're not afraid you'll fall.

He reaches for the cabinet,
And take some of his pills.
Suddenly he's escaped reality,
And entered fun and thrills.

What happens when you recover,
And you're feeling just so weak.
Too tired to face the day,
Let alone another week.

It is just an illusion,
Dreams playing with your mind.
To make you happy for a while,
Enough to buy you some time.

But when the fun is over,
And, so hard you crash and fall.
What will be used next,
To break down this strong wall?

It's just an illusion,
Those happy thoughts in your head.
You'll soon enough remember,
That inside of you, you're dead.
