X The Tears Of Broken Souls

by Sole   Mar 27, 2006

I see the pouring rain
Another poor soul cries
And I wallow in their pain
I see through their eyes

I see a darkened room
Blurred through countless tears
I see impending doom
And infinite fears

I see a secret, untold
And a whip with which to hurt
I feel the frost cold
The boot that kicks into the dirt

I see the pouring rain
Another poor soul cries
And I wallow in their pain
I see through their eyes

I see a child lay
In the arms of Hate
Abused in every way
And sacrificed to fate

I see a silver blade
Edged with crimson red
I see a life fade
I see a child, dead

I see the pouring rain
Another poor soul cries
And I wallow in their pain
I see through their eyes

I see a troubled man
Ancient, in despair
No-one to hold his hand
In old-age no-one's there

I see a womans life
Stood out, in the yard
A man who beats his wife
Another person scarred

I see the pouring rain
Another poor soul cries
And I wallow in their pain
I see through their eyes

As the rain continues down
I see we have to change our goals
Or everyone will drown
In the tears of broken souls.

Wow…. Wow… Wow…Wow…Wow! Did I say Wow? You are an absolutely, magnificent poet! Every piece you write just leaves me in a state of shock! This poem flowed perfectly I didn’t stumble on any of the words at all! Not to mention the topic of the poem was so deep and intellectual! I love how you make your poems very deep but also very simple and meaningful!

This poem was pretty good. The message was good the rhyming was good some of the lines needed to be a little longer and fourth line it should be "through" not "throught"
