The love not found

by EoB   Mar 30, 2006

Tangled in endless confusion,
enrobed in the gathering mist.
When gods wear the guise of betrayal
`tis hard to believe they exist.

Even one, in whom love have long wandered,
thus may be found by the sorrow
of a time that is lost and forgotten,
and abandon the dreams of tomorrow.

When draped in the ashes of silence,
from which there appears no escape,
when sounds are all ridden with anguish
grief may wear love`s ardent drape

Ah, thus did my paths mislead me,
in the darkness, I wandered, embraced,
by these desolate lies, and abandoned
the truth that I ever have chased.

This is amazing! The scrtucture is great and flows really well.
    I love the lines:
"Of a time that is lost and forgotten,
And abandon the dreams of tomorrow"
    Very powerful!

Thanks for your advice on how to expand my writing. I used it and wrote a poem called "Brandished Bullet Alongside The Gun"....You can read it whenever you have time!

    Keep at it!

Intriguing! The way you craft the scene with your words is enchanting. Such a delight to read, especially these random lines....

    "Tangled in endless confusion,
    enrobed in the gathering mist"

"When draped in the ashes of silence,"

"grief may wear love`s ardent drape"

Well done! Take care and keep it up~Holly
