Self Destruction

Friendships are a fickle thing
Theres bad mouthing, unbelievable b**ching
When your in there, it's all well and good
Your two faced but your understood

But exclusion simply put, is hell
Karma is a backstabbing friend
While holding a hand against your wound
She fills up youre drink to lighten your mood

That guy or girl you've always wanted?
Starved for, Scarred for and dreamt about it
Guess what princess, he don't want you
You're too troubled and too abused

That father you always see onscreen?
With a comforting hug and a cup of tea
Is just fiction, he's make believe
You're just a problem he doesn't need

You're self worth and self esteem?
Non-existant if thats all you see
Mountains of repulsive flesh
Don't blame them for thinking less

Love=The denominating factor
Ridicules us with mocking laughter
But you need it to complete the set
For without it your as good as dead

Life has spited, Life has cried
Left you with a wandering eye
Commitment isn't the smallest thing
Gives concrete boots and clips your wings

I think I'm missing the final piece
The lock and key don't seem to fit
So until the day I find 'The One'
This padded cells where I belong

    Amazing, just like the rest of your poems that I missed reading. However that stanza has to be one of my favorites that you've written. Never give up writing.

    This poem is really really good and i enjoyed reading it, as with all ur poems!
    "Karma is a backstabbing friend" that antithesis is really effective, and its my favourite line in the poem because of its thoughtful concept.
    the whole peice is really clever, and conveys the overall idea perfectly. love it! xx

    goreous poem, kid, loved it a lot. like to read your words because they stick ever so nicely unto my thoughts and they seem to written with my heart at mind.
