The Essence of moments

by EoB   Oct 12, 2006

Lest she should fade too swiftly
into the mists of time,
and Autumn come to slay them,
the memories of mine.

And all the thoughts of darkness
turned loose as we decay,
no glimpse of better ages,
as grief consumes the day.

I write to catch the essence
of moments, that when come,
seems not of such importance
as when they all have gone.
