To Maher

Although we are oceans apart,
You hold a very dear place in my heart.
We are so different you and I,
yet when you speak to me,
you can make me laugh and cry.
I can feel your love through a computer screen,
you reach out to me with emotions unseen.
I pray often that one day we will meet,
I hope when that day comes,
I'm still here for you to greet.
You gave me such sad news,
That you must leave for awhile.
I will be so sad missing you.
I will pray for the day to come around,
That you will be home safe and sound.
I bless the day that we met,
Across the lines of the INTERNET.
I knew from the very start,
You were the friend who could steal my heart.
Praying for each other every night and day,
Hoping we never part.
For it's just oceans between us,
and the love in our hearts.

    This is beautiful but it scares me. I went through what this poem describes to the letter!

    Fell in love with a girl in Ohio over the internet on a games website we met on. Always dreamed of being together. After 4yrs I ended it, mainly because I was an idiot and didn't give her a legitimate reason. 6yrs later after being married and divorced, I went to see her in person to apologise. Things went well and I went again. Now we plan to get married and bring her here to Australia.

    Scariest part though...my name is Maher..

    Awww thats beautiful. this is lovely words to obviously a special person.

    it is amazing how close we can grow to people we do not meet. which i think just proves that its what is inside your heart that counts the most.

    many of my good friends are online, and i think you have wrote well about the closeness of the bonds we can form. well done, i like this one xxxxxxx
