The Day You Died

The day you died, so did I.
Along with all the sunny Sky's.
I sat by helpless unable to move.
There was no way I could get to you.
You dropped right before me, with just a sigh!
I see it over and over each time I close my eyes.
Gone the man who made me strong,
Who taught me to hold my head up and carry on.
Gone the man who loved me all those years.
Who held me at night and calmed my fears.
Gone the man who stood by me.
When I got sick, seeing to all my needs.
Gone the man who made me believe,
That I still had worth, for all to see.
Now he's gone and I'm all alone,
with icy silence all around.
I don't know how I will go on,
with you tucked into the cold, cold ground.
I wish that i could be with you,
I miss your love so much.
Yet sometimes when I dream,
I still can feel your touch.

    There is a lot of powerful lines in this one...

    Gone the man who made me strong

    with you tucked into the cold, cold ground

    all these lines just make you hold your breathe... i relate to your poems so much i just cannot stop from reading them.
    there is so much that you write that i have wrote too, and so much you have said that i feel too.

    That is really good, just like others it made me cry, i just got to say keep your head up he is watching over you and will always be there for you. if ever you need help or to lighten your day you ca always talk to me or even better you could look deep in your heart to what happiness you had. well it works for me. 5/5 keep strong
