A Man Like You

by Cindy   Jan 17, 2007

Looking at the baby's face
Find myself thinking of you
His eyes they sparkle ever so
When he's wearing baby blue

They gave him your name
Filled him up with love
Such a happy little guy
Precious gift from up above

He has a beautiful smile
He has the softest skin
He has his mommy's nose
and his grandpa's chin

You would be so proud
Of our handsome little boy
He looks just like his daddy
He brings me endless joy

His daddy will teach him
Just how to be good
Compassion, love and kindness
Like we knew he would

Wishing you were here
So much to say and do
To mold him into a man
One so much like you

John wish you were here to see our Grandson.

That's a lovely poem just sad that while you were writing this it's clear you were also missing your husband. your feelings are expressed so well. xxx
