Thief in the night

by ben thompson   Jan 31, 2007

A little girls innocence robbed away.
Finally the law caught him, now he'll pay.
As for the damage its already done.
For one moment of sickening fun.

Her little life turned upside down.
Now she acts out, always she frowns.
Because she can't cope with all the pain.
So she turns to drugs to stop the rain.

Her world now spirals out of control.
Kicked out of school, nowhere to go.
She began to steal from family and friends.
Creating great chasms that may never mend.

What should punishment be for this crime.
She was given a life sentence on her mind.
To carry heavy burdens no one should bare.
Least of all a little girl with raven colored hair.

So I hope justice takes a harsh path.
And God lets loose his angry wrath.
Lock him up he deserves what he gets.
Upon his death he'll surely see the pits.

This hit hard to me. I know what this feels like, that moment that seems to freeze in time, it is sick, but for some reason, he loved it. Lots of damage, but great write, I loved it!
