Darkness Calls

Left alone once more
In my empty mind
Feelings all gone away
Nothing here to find

Everything left with you
Nothing left to share
Turned your back on me
Leaving without a care

Opened up my heart
Then you shut the door
Pushing it all back
Heaped upon the floor

Thinking that you were
My one chance of hope
Now feeling very foolish
Grabbing for your rope

I'm settling back into
Life behind these walls
Hurt fills up my heart
As the darkness calls
