When i saw you walking, i knew it must be.
that your the only one for me.
my heart beat fast, and my breath came short,
i wanted to talk to you but i fought.

i resisted the urge to ask your name,
and i often wondered if i was truly insane.
never in a million years would i ask your name,
afraid that you mite laugh and walk away.

though courage prevailed and i knew at once,
that this was the moment Ive been waiting for.
I slowly gazed into those beautiful brown eyes,
and caught my breath at the site i saw,
an untold love deep inside you, and at that
moment i knew.
You were the one for me,
you were the one who would set me free.
i smiled a hesitant smile, and you smiled back,
knowing what was on my mind,
you didn't step back.

i shivered from the touch of your hand,
wondering if it was true,
then you whispered closely in my ear,
"all these years Ive been waiting for you"
