Where Have All The Flowers Gone

by Cindy   Nov 11, 2009

Where have all the flowers gone
You use to bring to me
Color now faded from my world
Your face I no longer see

Days are now so endless
Remove me from this pain
Need to rest in your arms
Warmed with love once again

Longing to be beside you
How I wanted you to stay
You promised me forever
Yet fate stole that away

Getting very tired now
Been holding on so long
Please come and rescue me
It's with you where I belong

There is so much sadness in your words but also something else, longing I think. That's the feeling I got when I read this, a sense of longing.

This stanza says so much of the depth of love felt by one for his/her lover.
There is no other feeling on earth quite like it when being held in your lover's arms.
You've done a wonderful job with this pice Cindy.
    Keep up the great work.
    An enjoyable read.

Oh dear lady, we have to hold on to life just a minute longer. Our mission on earth has not yet finished so long as we can breathe.

Well done on this one. i'm voting 5.
